B Bar Ranch isn't just a place; it's a state of mind. Wandering from yurt to pond's edge in a post-yoga bliss encompasses more than just the crunch of gravel underfoot, the touch of a breeze on sweaty skin, and a deep breath of fresh mountain air. Your parasympathetic nervous system retreats to a sense of calm it has been deprived of in the hustle and bustle of daily life. This heightened awareness allows you to tune into your surroundings and deepen your self-study simultaneously. |

On a guided hike around B Bar, you will find yourself deeply connected to the ecosystem. Mushrooms resembling soccer balls and pancakes catch the eye, and you learn that puffballs and boletes are edible fungi. A brown elk antler, smelling of pine, inspires awe about how the animal grows and sheds its tines year after year. The warm hues of brown and orange illuminate the growth rings of a 50-million-year-old petrified tree stump. You realize the Earth has been around long before you and will remain long after. |

Tom Miner Basin is one of the most intact ecosystems on the planet. We are proud to steward this uncommon place that profoundly contrasts with the modern age of stress, distraction, and disconnection. This summer, we are delighted to offer multiple opportunities for you to explore the interconnectedness of land, humans, and fauna at B Bar Ranch. |
On June 29th and July 13th, we are hosting two Ranch-to-Table dinners showcasing food from local producers, sharing stories about organic/regenerative practices, and celebrating the community of Southwest Montana and beyond. Over July 4th weekend, gather your family and friends to join us for a laid-back staycation with hiking, yard games, grilling, and more. On July 21st, Livingston LightWorks curated a Women’s Day Retreat to “create community while healing and harmonizing in nature.” With multiple workshops, a relaxation tent, pampering, and sisterhood, this is a one-of-a-kind offering at B Bar. |
The lodge inspires imaginative conversations over healthy meals. |
There are multiple week-long retreats with limited availability happening this summer. If you want to horseback ride, practice yoga, relax, create, and immerse yourself in all that B Bar Ranch and our partners offer, this is the best way to relish an extended stay. |
Trina Smith has dedicated the last 12 years to stewarding our guest ranch with an unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction and a fiscally tight fist. As the vigilant eyes and ears of the B Bar, her care for all our clients have been unparalleled. Beyond hosting, whether organizing hunting patrols and building rapport with all the regulars during our hunting season or leading guests on memorable wildlife spotting outings, pinch hitting as chef, grooming cross country ski trails or driving a stricken guest to the ER in Livingston, Trina has always gone above and beyond. While Trina has chosen to pursue a dream job in Alaska, we are both happy for her life's journey and saddened by her departure. In turn, we are in search of a Guest Ranch Manager. Trust us, this new hire has big shoes to fill! Follow this link to apply. |
Trina Smith welcomes guests to B Bar with a smile. |
